WHAT ARE CLOVER BUDS?

Clover buds are part of the legume family, and small animals like rabbits eat them in the wild all the time as part of their well-balanced diet.  They are a wonderful snack for domestic rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and other small animals to nibble on.

CLOVER BUD HEALTH FACTS:

Our red clover buds are a delicious treat or addition to a well-balanced meal. The flowers, stems, and leaves are a powerhouse of nutrition:

-       Fiber

-       Protein

-       Vitamins A, C, and K

-       Iron

-       Sodium

-       Manganese

-       Carbs

-       Calcium

-       Phosphorus, and other nutrients

-       Low in sugar!

Due to the high nutritional content (specifically the fiber and protein levels) in red clover buds, most veterinarians recommend this vegetable be fed as a treat in moderation for pets over 12 weeks old.
